Information Technology And Communication Technology (ICT): A Veritable Tool For Effective Lecture Delivery System In Business Education In Nigeria Tertiary Institutions.

  ABSTRACT: 

This paper examined the Utilization of the Delivery System in Business Education through Information and Communication Technology. The concepts of teacher-centered approach to educational delivery system were explained. ICT was defined.  Different computer usages in education delivery system are Computer Aided Instruction (CAI), Computer Managed Instruction (CMI), and Computer Based Education (CBE). Applications of ICT in tertiary Institutions of learning were highlighted so also benefits of ICT were examined. The paper concluded by stating that effective implementation of the three modes of computer usage in forming delivery system in business education is a veritable tool and a catalyst for re-engineering education in general and making it technology-based and learner-centered. The paper recommended that both state and Federal Governments should make special budget allocations for acquisition of ICT equipment for instructional purposes.
